Working relationships and Stress

Who will benefit by attending:
People at all levels in organisations experiencing workplace stress that is hampering enthusiasm and effectiveness.

Our approach is founded on the understanding that most workplace stress arises around interpersonal issues such as trust, cooperation, collaboration, ways of communicating (often across cultures) and the need to build and maintain good long-term relationships. These issues often form barriers that create high levels of stress because they prevent people from working together effectively, even when they understand the importance of doing so intellectually. The experience, during the training, of creating meaningful relationships with colleagues is a very powerful one that enables people to effectively address their interpersonal challenges positively.

Outcomes will include:
- Improving participantsí understanding of communication, team work, conflict resolution, leadership and stress.
- Raising awareness and understanding of the impact of improved communication in the workplace, to enhance relationships based on respect, trust and collaboration.
- Developing participantsí skills in effective communication.
- Building positive team-enhancing practices which contribute to interpersonal co-operation and supportive working relationships.
- Exploring the process of change and development in individuals and groups and its effect on relationships.
- Identifying organisationally entrenched practices that may be perceived as supporting negative, and therefore stressful, behaviours.
- Exploring stress in the client workplace and finding ways of managing it.
